This document is published in English only. It is the authoritative version and applies regardless of the language you are browsing the rest of the site in.
This page lists every cookie we set, in full. There is no category here labelled "marketing" or "advertising", because we run no advertising or retargeting pixels. There is one optional category, analytics, and it stays switched off until you say otherwise.
Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, as the law permits, because the site cannot do its job without them. Everything else waits for your answer to the notice shown on your first visit.
01Strictly necessary
These make the Service work. Refusing them is not possible while continuing to use the site, because they are the site.

02Preferences
One cookie, and it does exactly one thing: it remembers which of the five site languages you chose, so returning to bounceintel.com opens in that language instead of resetting to English.

03Bot protection
The free checker is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes a person from an automated script without the puzzles a CAPTCHA imposes. When it challenges a request it may set its own cookies, under Cloudflare's control.
This is strictly necessary in the same sense as the others: without it, the free allowance would be consumed by scripts within a day and the offer would not exist.

04Analytics (optional)
The only category that asks for your consent. If you choose "Reject all", or simply never answer, none of this loads: no script is fetched from Google, no cookie is written, and no request carrying your IP address leaves your browser. The site works identically either way.
If you accept, Google Analytics tells us which pages are read and which are ignored, in aggregate. We do not use it for advertising, and it is not linked to any advertising product.

05What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No analytics of any kind unless you accepted the optional category.
- No cross-site tracking cookies.
- No social media plugins that phone home on page load.
- No data broker or audience-building tags.
06Changing your mind
You can clear the cookies for this site in your browser at any time; the next visit will show the notice again and you can answer differently. Clearing them will also sign you out and reset your language preference, because those are cookies too.
Most browsers can also block cookies entirely. If you block ours, sign-in will not work and the free checker will refuse to run, since it has no way to meter an anonymous allowance.
