Kickbox is one of the more thoughtful vendors in this market. They take a position on what should and should not be verified, they talk about deliverability rather than just about bounces, and they refuse work that other vendors take. That is worth respecting and it is worth saying on a page like this one.
Where the two products come apart is narrower than the marketing on either side suggests, and it comes down to what your export contains.
A deliverability-first framing. Verification is treated as one input into whether your mail arrives, not as an end in itself, which is the correct way round and not how everyone in this category talks.
They are also willing to turn business away when a list looks like it was bought. Very few vendors do that, it costs them revenue, and it is a reasonable signal about how a company thinks.
A single quality score is a compact way to summarise a lot of signals, and compactness has a cost. Two addresses can land on the same number for entirely different reasons: one is a role account at a healthy domain, the other sits behind a catch-all that will accept anything. Those need different decisions and one number cannot carry both.
Our export gives you the verdict, the score and the reason codes together, so the number is inspectable rather than final. If you segment your sends, that is the difference between a rule you can write and a threshold you have to guess at.

There is a score from 0 to 100, and it never travels alone. The reason codes that produced it are in the same response and the same CSV row, so you can see whether a middling score came from a role address, a catch-all domain or something else.
We would rather you did not send to them at all, and our acceptable use policy sets out what is not allowed here. Verification does not turn a bought list into a permissioned one.
Yes, one endpoint with a bearer token, and it returns the same schema as bulk. Do not call it from the browser: keys belong on your server.
That is the sensible way to decide. Credits on signup with no card cover a sample of a thousand addresses, which is enough to compare the disagreements rather than the totals.
Pay as you go credits stay until you use them. Monthly allotments reset with the billing period.
Retention follows your plan and is described in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement, both published on this site rather than sent on request.
