02How it works
Three steps, and the address never reaches a campaign unchecked.
Each integration is a Zap: something happens in one of your apps, BounceIntel checks the address, and the next step acts on the answer.
An address arrives
A form entry, a new CRM contact, a subscriber or a spreadsheet row starts the Zap in the app where it appears.
BounceIntel checks the mailbox
Syntax, the domain and its MX records, then the receiving mail server itself, without sending an email. Most checks answer in a few seconds.
The next step acts on it
Filter out invalid addresses, write the verdict and score back to the record, or send risky ones to a person to review.
03What comes back
A verdict your next step can branch on.
Every check returns the same fields in Zapier. These are the ones people map first; the full set, with reason codes and mailbox signals, is in the step output.
- Verdict
- Safe, risky, invalid or unknown. The field to filter or branch on.
- Score
- 0 to 100. Worth writing back so lists and reports can sort by it.
- Safe to send
- One true or false value, ready for a Filter step.
- Reason
- Why the verdict was chosen, in plain words.
- Disposable address
- A throwaway inbox from a temporary mail service.
- Role account
- A shared inbox such as info@ or sales@ rather than a person.

Any app on Zapier can start a check.
These are the most popular apps, but Zapier connects more than 9,000, and the BounceIntel step works after any Zapier trigger that carries an email address. For your own code, the same check is one REST call.
05Questions
Integration questions, answered
How does BounceIntel connect to these apps?
Through Zapier. BounceIntel publishes a Zapier app with two actions and two searches, and each integration on this page is a Zap that pairs one of those steps with a trigger in the other app.
Do I need a paid BounceIntel plan?
Yes, for the connection itself. Zapier signs in with an API key, and API keys are issued with any paid plan, monthly or a one-off pack. The free credits you get on signup can be used in the dashboard to test verdicts on your own data first.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
Not always. Zapier's free plan runs two-step Zaps, which is a trigger plus the BounceIntel check. Writing the verdict back or adding a filter makes the Zap longer, which needs a paid Zapier plan, as do the apps Zapier marks Premium.
How many credits does an integration use?
One BounceIntel credit per address checked, whichever app it came from. Verify Email List uses one credit for each address in the list. Zapier counts its own tasks separately.
What happens when the verdict is unknown?
Unknown means the receiving server would not give an answer in time, which says something about that server rather than the address. Keep those addresses, and check them again later or in a bulk job, rather than deleting them.
What data leaves my app?
Only the email address you map into the BounceIntel step. It is checked against the receiving mail server without sending a message, and processed and stored in the EU.
Put a check in front of your next campaign.
Pick the app where your addresses arrive, connect BounceIntel in Zapier, and let the verdict decide what happens next.
